Director, Competence Management Delivery Center - Mexico

Selene has been the leader of Intech’s Competence Management organization since its inception in 2010. The Competence Management Model established within Intech serves two key functions. The first is to make sure that each project has the appropriate skill sets incorporated into the team. The second is to define a development path for an employee to continually develop their skills to match the skills needed by Intech to maintain technical leadership in the market. Intech’s Competence Management Model is one of the things that separate Intech from its competitors.

Selene possesses 20 years experience in the software development and telecommunications field. Selene is a specialist in the design of strategies for continuous improvement and implementation of quality systems based on ISO 9001 and CMMI and holds a Lead Auditor Certification. During her tenure with Ericsson, Selene implemented a number of different quality initiatives within Ericsson divisions in Canada, Ireland, Sweden, Germany and the US. While at Intech, Selene has successfully led ISO 9001 re-certification initiatives in 2005 and 2008. Selene was responsible for Intech becoming the first company in Coahuila to obtain CMMI Level 3 certifcation.

Selene has a degree in Computer Systems Engineering, graduating at the top of her class from the Saltillo Institute of Technology. At graduation she received the medal, The Journal, awarded to the best students in Mexico. In addition, she received the Juan Antonio de la Fuente Medal at the state level. She has begun studying for the Master of Education degree with specialization in Corporate Education at ITESM. Selene is fluent in both Spanish and English.
